Original Buc-ee’s in Texas experiences fire, world’s largest location remains undamaged.

The 2003 Buc-ee’s location in Luling experienced a fire during demolition. Fortunately, the new world’s largest Buc-ee’s in Luling, Texas opened its doors just three weeks ago. This new travel center features a variety of items, including brisket, Beaver nuggets, and more. Rumors quickly spread on social media due to the close proximity of the new location to the original site that caught fire.

The Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management confirmed that the new location did not sustain any damage from the fire. The cause of the fire at the original Buc-ee’s site is still unknown. Deputy Fire Chief Keith Lohse mentioned that the fire occurred during the demolition process, even though there were no utilities connected to the building at the time.

The original Buc-ee’s location opened in 2003, marking the start of the brand’s growth to 49 locations across nine states. Texas boasts the most Buc-ee’s locations, with 35 in total. The new world’s largest Buc-ee’s in Luling now replaces the original site, offering an impressive range of amenities.
