Orlando Health Hospital Grows in Rapidly Expanding Area – WFTV

In Clermont, Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is expanding as part of its regional growth. The nonprofit health system, with $9.6 billion of assets under management and a fiscal 2023 revenue of $6.1 billion, is set to open a five-story, $140 million patient tower on Feb. 12. This will add to the existing 147 beds it had at the hospital at 1900 Don Wickham Drive in Clermont. The new building, totaling 212,000 square feet, will open with 58 beds, with the potential to add an additional 30 beds in the future through shell space. The building will also be home to the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies, along with practices tied to the Orlando Health Women’s Institute.

This expansion is a significant investment for Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in the Clermont area and demonstrates its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the region. This investment will help meet the growing demand for healthcare services in the area, while also providing specialized care for women and babies through the new Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Women and Babies. Additionally, it will provide space for practices tied to the Orlando Health Women’s Institute, further enhancing the hospital’s ability to provide comprehensive healthcare services for the community.
