OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee is now accepting applications for the 2024 health care scholarship awards. This year, a total of $4,000 will be given to students in Bureau, Henry, or Stark counties who are interested in pursuing a career in health care. Scholarships are open to recent high school graduates as well as advanced degree candidates with permanent residence in these counties.
Students who wish to apply for the scholarship must be pursuing a career in health care, such as nursing, radiology, laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, physical or occupational therapy, or pre-med. Applicants must exhibit academic excellence and provide high school or college transcripts, as well as details of their volunteering or work experience and any health-related activities they have participated in.
To apply for the scholarship, interested students can obtain an application form from OSF Saint Luke Medical Center or request an electronic copy via email from Samantha Rux at samantha.l.harkerrux@osfhealthcare.org. The completed applications must be submitted by email to Samantha Rux or mailed to OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center by October 1st. Students must also plan to enroll in a post-secondary institution for a health career field of study.
