Oshkosh North and West high schools will be relocating their graduation ceremonies to the UW Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center due to uncertainty surrounding the Oshkosh Arena. The graduation ceremonies will still take place on May 25, with Oshkosh West’s ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. and Oshkosh North’s ceremony starting at 4 p.m.
The dates and times of the ceremonies will remain unchanged, ensuring that graduates and their families can still celebrate on the scheduled day. Oshkosh Area School District Superintendent Bryan Davis expressed gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for their partnership and support in hosting the graduation ceremonies.
The decision to move the location of the ceremonies was made in response to the uncertain future of the Oshkosh Arena, which was listed for sale earlier this year. By relocating to the Kolf Sports Center, the schools are able to proceed seamlessly with their planned graduation celebrations and provide graduates with a memorable experience.
The university’s willingness to support the high schools in this endeavor highlights the importance of collaboration and community involvement in ensuring that milestone events like graduations can still take place as planned.
