The Packers are looking to add some variety to their training camp practices by scheduling joint workouts with other teams this summer. Head coach Matt LaFleur announced that the team will have one day of practice with the Broncos before their August 18 game in Denver and another day with the Ravens before their August 24 game in Green Bay. LaFleur believes that these joint practices provide a valuable opportunity for his team to compete against different clubs during the preseason. However, to avoid potential conflicts, he has opted for just one day of practice with each team due to the tendency for fights to break out during prolonged joint sessions.

LaFleur expressed concern that extended joint practices could escalate into physical altercations, likening them to a “wrestling match or MMA fight.” By limiting the joint workouts to one day, he hopes to ensure that the focus remains on getting quality work done and preparing for the upcoming games. The Packers will kick off their preseason with a road game against the Browns on August 10.
