Panthers’ first-round receiver Xavier Legette is currently sidelined from minicamp due to a lingering hamstring injury. Panthers coach David Canales mentioned that he expects Legette to be fully recovered in time for training camp. Despite missing most of the organized team activities, Canales reassured that the injury is not worse than initially thought. The team is taking a cautious approach to ensure Legette’s safe return to the field.
Canales emphasized the importance of not rushing Legette back too soon, especially with the start of training camp approaching. He mentioned that if there was a game this week, Legette would be practicing, but due to the timing, they are being extra cautious. Canales believes that focusing on getting Legette back to full health for training camp is the right decision to make.
During his time at the University of South Carolina last season, Legette had an impressive record of 71 catches for 1,255 yards and seven touchdowns. Panthers fans are hopeful that Legette’s talent and performance will continue to shine once he is back on the field.
