The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Friday that they have signed veteran cornerback Parry Nickerson. Nickerson, 29, was one of four tryout players at the Eagles’ mandatory minicamp this week. He previously played for Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio with the Dolphins last season, where he appeared in five games and made five tackles on defense and 19 on special teams.

Nickerson entered the league as a sixth-round pick of the Jets in 2018 and has since played for six other teams. He was traded to the Seahawks before his second season and then signed with the Jaguars after being released. He then went on to play for the Packers in 2020 and the Vikings for two seasons before ending up in Miami for the 2023 season. In his career, Nickerson has accumulated 33 tackles and one pass defensed in 30 games.

The addition of Nickerson provides the Eagles with depth and experience in the cornerback position, adding to their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season. Nickerson’s familiarity with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio’s system will be an asset to the team as they continue to build their defense for the upcoming season.
