A portion of Business Loop 70 in Columbia will be closed for two days next week as crews remove out-of-use railroad tracks near the power plant. The Missouri Department of Transportation, in partnership with the City of Columbia, will be working on this project. The closure will be between Edison Street and Bowling Street from 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10.
During this time, crews will be placing concrete pavement in that area, and Business Loop 70 will be resurfaced later in the year. ABC 17 News encourages civil and constructive conversation.
