Partial immunity granted to Trump, Biden asserts: “We are not ruled by kings”

During a recent address in the White House, Joe Biden asserted that no one is above the law, not even the President of the United States. His tone was alert, serious, and incisive as he spoke in front of the teleprompter in the Cross Hall. Despite his strong statement, Biden chose not to answer questions from journalists, possibly to avoid discussing the recent debate with Donald Trump.

The Supreme Court’s decision to grant partial immunity to Trump for the trial in which he is accused of trying to subvert the election results by inciting the storming of Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, was a significant event. Biden criticized the Court, calling it a “dangerous precedent” that could potentially expand the power of the president beyond legal limits. He also warned of the consequences of electing Trump again, implying that he would respect the boundaries of presidential power if he were to be reelected.

Meanwhile, Trump’s legal team is already working to overturn a ruling related to the Stormy Daniels case, following the Supreme Court’s decision. Despite these legal battles, Trump maintains a lead in the polls over Biden, with a 6 percentage point advantage according to a recent survey. However, doubts about Biden’s physical and mental abilities have increased among voters, with a majority expressing skepticism about his ability to serve a second term.

In addition to the legal and political challenges facing both candidates, the race for the American presidency remains competitive as the November elections approach. The outcome is still uncertain, and both Biden and Trump have significant support from voters. The events unfolding in the legal arena and the ongoing debate between the two contenders will likely continue to shape the dynamics of the election campaign in the coming weeks.
