Priority Health Care’s Pediatric Clinic is organizing a Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, July 27th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at 12 Westbank Expressway and aims to ensure that students have a healthy start to the upcoming school year.
Dr. Anna Villanueva, a nurse practitioner at PHC’s pediatric clinic, emphasized the importance of catching students up on wellness exams and vaccines before they return to school. This proactive approach aims to keep students healthy and prevent the spread of germs in the school environment.
In addition to sports physicals and vaccinations, PHC will offer a range of activities for kids to enjoy at the fair. These activities include carnival games, face painting, movies, music, refreshments, and snowballs to mark the end of summer. For more information, interested individuals can call 504-509-KIDS (5437).
It’s worth noting that there will be no out-of-pocket costs for attending the fair. Whether you have health insurance or not, you will not be turned away. However, if you are insured, make sure to bring your insurance card to the event.
