Another notable recruit for Notre Dame is Ivan Taylor, the son of former NFL player Ike Taylor, who was a teammate of Plaxico Burress during his career.

Plaxico Burress, after playing college football at Michigan State, went on to have a successful NFL career playing for the Steelers, Giants, and Jets. He is best known for catching the game-winning touchdown pass in Super Bowl XLII, a moment in which he celebrated with his young son, Elijah, on the field.
