In recent years, there has been an abundance of wrong and incorrect information circulating. Prime Minister Andrej Plenković stated that in the polls, their party is consistently at 25-30 percent, even after the eighth year of their mandate. He emphasized the government’s consistency in policies such as tax relief and strengthening of fiscal and functional decentralization of local units, calling the thesis regarding their performance ridiculous.

Regarding potential post-election coalition with the Homeland Movement, Plenković mentioned that the Homeland Movement had previously stated they would not enter into a coalition with the HDZ president (which is him). He emphasized that cooperation with any actor is clear to them and that they have established cooperation with all current partners.

Plenković also commented on alleged illegalities regarding funding for the Ministry of Culture and the Faculty of Geodesy, stressing that the funds in question were not from the European Union Solidarity Fund. He mentioned that the irregularities that may have arisen in the conduct of the Faculty of Geodesy should be directed there for investigation.

The session of the HDZ Presidency commenced at 4 p.m., and it was expected that Andrej Plenković’s statement would follow afterwards.
