The two-day Ukraine reconstruction conference in Berlin is expected to have a high level of security. The event will take place in the CityCube congress center on the exhibition grounds in Charlottenburg and will be opened by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Other high-ranking politicians will also be in attendance, making security measures crucial.

The Berlin police will have to secure not only the conference venue but also the hotels where important politicians are staying. Traffic disruptions are expected, especially along routes connecting the airport, exhibition center, government district, and hotels in the city center. The airspace will be monitored, buildings will be searched for explosives, snipers will be positioned, and special operations units will be on standby.

The police chief has stated that this is one of the largest operations in recent years and holiday bans have been in place for police officers. Support from other federal states will be necessary, as many officers are also needed due to the upcoming European Football Championship. The tension in Berlin is high, and with the Championship starting soon, security measures are intensifying.

Security measures for the European Championship will also be heightened, with experts examining the Olympic Stadium for explosives and dangerous objects. Fan zones will be thoroughly examined, and over 2,000 police officers will be deployed on match days with German participation. For the final in Berlin, between 3,000 and 4,000 police officers will be on duty, along with modern technical defenses and specialist support.
