Police were searching for a suspect who fled the scene after opening fire at a Maryland high school football game on Saturday morning. The incident occurred outside Potomac High School in Oxon Hill around 11:20 a.m. According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, a man in the bleachers was killed and a child was wounded in the shooting.
Officers found the adult man with gunshot wounds and transported him to the hospital where he later died. The child, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 1-866-411-TIPS. The situation is still developing, and updates will be provided as they become available. Police are working to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for the shooting at Potomac High School.
