Yakubov quoted Abraham Lincoln, stating that the best way to predict the future is to create it. He emphasized that HIT is working towards a better future for its students and the country. The academic year at HIT began with a staggered schedule to accommodate students who have been serving in the IDF. Each returning student was able to create their own personal schedule with the help of an academic advisor.

Yakubov discussed the importance of engineers, scientists, and high-tech professionals and the impact they have on Israeli society and industry. HIT supplies graduates to companies such as Elbit, Rafael, Google, Checkpoint, and Israel Aerospace Industries. He expressed that all students, whether in the reserves or regular military service, are considered as sons and daughters by the institute.

Yakubov highlighted the Digital Medical Technologies department at HIT, which focuses on digital medicine and training the next generation of physicians with applied AI knowledge. He also mentioned the upcoming academic program that will prepare radiological medical experts with extensive AI knowledge. These two departments will form the foundation of the Faculty of Medical Technologies, the first of its kind in Israel.

HIT sponsored a portion of the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference, demonstrating its commitment to supporting and contributing to important events in the community.
