Pride Weekend is currently taking place in San Francisco, with the city getting ready for an influx of crowds and special events. This popular event is expected to draw over one million visitors to the city, which is great news for local businesses that are anticipating a boost in customers and revenue.

One such business that is looking forward to the increased activity is Ginger’s, the only gay bar in the Financial District of San Francisco. After being closed during the pandemic, Ginger’s is reopening just in time for Pride Weekend. General Manager Dana Marinelli is excited for the high volume of customers that are expected to flock to the bar over the weekend, and hopes that the event will help to revitalize downtown San Francisco.

In addition to SF Pride, there are several other events happening throughout the city this weekend that are likely to keep first responders busy. With a million people expected in San Francisco over the weekend, city leaders are gathering to discuss safety measures and precautions that need to be taken to ensure a smooth and successful weekend for all attendees.

The Civic Center will host vendors and performances on Saturday, while the Pride parade will take over Market Street on Sunday. Cheer SF, along with cheerleaders from San Diego and Sacramento, are gearing up to perform at the parade and celebrate the rich diversity of San Francisco’s residents. The events will cause road closures throughout the city, with some streets already closed and additional closures expected on Friday night. Several Muni lines will also be rerouted to accommodate the parade route on Sunday.
