Principal added to lead expansion of emerging technology practice at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman

Jill Williamson has recently joined the Morristown-based law firm Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. as a principal to lead the development of an emerging technology practice. This move marks a significant expansion for the firm into a new practice area, building upon their strong foundation across different practice groups.

With over 20 years of experience, Williamson has a background in advising and representing entrepreneurs and leaders of established businesses to help maximize shareholder value growth while minimizing legal risks. She has extensive experience in legal counsel and compliance, providing strategic guidance to emerging technology companies in areas such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and esports. Her practice includes handling complex legal matters like internal investigations, government inquiries defense, and compliance advice on crucial areas like anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, export compliance, sanctions, data privacy, and risk management.

Williamson’s expertise also extends to blockchain technology and global cryptocurrency laws, helping clients navigate regulatory landscapes effectively. With experience working with Web3 companies since 2017, she brings valuable experience and training to navigate this emerging sector effectively.
