Progress Made at LHS Science Rooms and Turrill Multi-Purpose Room

Construction work is underway at Lapeer High School as crews have been busy installing footings, underground utilities, and two layers of block for the new science labs. The renovation work at the school includes the demolition of existing walls, doors, and lockers, with new door frames, block walls, and flooring to be installed.

Additionally, at Turrill Elementary School, walls are also being constructed for a new multi-purpose gym room. The school is undergoing bathroom renovations and HVAC upgrades as part of the bond construction project approved by voters in November 2022.

Both Lapeer High School and Turrill Elementary School are part of the Lapeer Community Schools district, where the $44-million bond is being utilized for various construction projects. The ongoing construction work is aimed at improving the school facilities and providing a better learning environment for students.
