For the second evening in a row, anti-Israeli demonstrations took place in the Jordanian capital. Police and gendarmerie worked to prevent the crowd from approaching the Israeli embassy. The website jo24.net reported the arrest of two demonstrators who tried to break through the security forces’ cordon. According to the publication, more than 10 thousand people participated in the demonstration organized by a youth organization.

Participants in the demonstration demanded that the Jordanian government take practical measures to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. They called for the cancellation of all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement) and the gas agreement. They also demanded a ban on land delivery of goods from the Persian Gulf countries through Jordan, as well as a ban on the export of vegetables.

jo24.net also indicated that the demonstrators believed that Amman should stop military cooperation with the United States, which they held responsible for the aggression in the Gaza Strip. In addition, the protesters insisted on opening the borders to Jordanian youth who wanted to join the Palestinian resistance.
