R Praggnanandhaa continues to impress at the Norway Chess tournament, with another upset victory, this time against world champion Ding Liren in the armageddon game. His previous wins against top-ranked players like Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana have solidified his reputation as a rising star in the chess world.

Despite drawing in the classical game, Ding Liren stumbled in the armageddon game, allowing Praggnanandhaa to claim another notable win. In a fierce battle, Hikaru Nakamura closed in on tournament leader Magnus Carlsen with a thrilling armageddon victory, narrowing the gap between them.

In intense matchups, Fabiano Caruana’s match against Alireza Firouzja was a roller-coaster of emotions, with Caruana narrowly escaping defeat in the classical game. However, Firouzja dominated the armageddon game, leaving Caruana with no chance to recover.
