Rahul Dravid dismisses claims of redemption following India’s World Cup win: ‘Credit goes to many other players…’

The win in the T20 World Cup final may seem like redemption for the Men in Blue, especially after their loss in the 50-over World Cup final to Australia just seven months ago. However, India coach Rahul Dravid downplayed the idea of redemption, stating that he doesn’t dwell on such narratives. He acknowledged that there are many players who have not yet won a trophy and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to coach the team.

Following India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup, Dravid emphasized that he doesn’t seek redemption and that coaching the team was just a job he loved doing. He praised the players for their hard work and dedication, expressing his enjoyment of the journey working with Rohit Sharma and the team.

Dravid’s contract as the head coach of the Indian team was extended until the end of the T20 World Cup, and with the victory, his tenure has come to an end.
