Adverse weather conditions have resulted in the postponement of on-track activities at Iowa Speedway on Saturday. The NASCAR Cup Series was supposed to qualify for the Iowa Corn 350 at 1:05 p.m. ET but rain disrupted the schedule. Similarly, the NASCAR Xfinity Series also had its qualifying session canceled for the Hy-Vee Perks 250 earlier in the day.
Goodyear has provided wet-weather tires for both series, anticipating the rainy conditions. However, NASCAR officials decided that the track was too wet to conduct time trials on Saturday afternoon. As a result, the qualifying sessions were postponed.
The Xfinity Series race is still scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on various networks and platforms. The Cup Series race, which marks its debut at Iowa Speedway, is now set for Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET. Fans can catch both races on USA Network, MRN Radio, NBC Sports App, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
As the weather conditions improve and the track dries up, updates will be provided regarding the scheduling of the races.
