St Lucia experienced heavy rainfall before the T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eights match between India and Australia at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, currently holds the top position in Group 1 of the Super Eights after securing victories against Afghanistan and Bangladesh. They are determined to perform well in the prestigious tournament and aim to end India’s ICC trophy drought by clinching their first T20 World Cup title since 2007.

In their previous match against Bangladesh, India put up a strong performance, with Hardik Pandya scoring an unbeaten 50 runs off just 24 deliveries. Rishabh Pant and Shivam Dube also made significant contributions to India’s total score of 196/5. Bangladesh struggled against India’s bowling attack, with Kuldeep Yadav leading the way by claiming three wickets. India secured a convincing 50-run victory in that match.

Australia, on the other hand, led by Mitchell Marsh, suffered a defeat against Afghanistan in their previous match. As they gear up to face India in the Super Eights stage, both teams will be looking to secure crucial wins to qualify for the semifinals. The match promises to be an exciting clash between two cricketing giants, with India aiming to continue their winning streak and Australia seeking redemption after their loss.
