The 3rd annual Family Mental Health Fun Day took place at Potter Park in Lansing, Michigan on Saturday, June 23. Families gathered to enjoy a day filled with fun activities, relaxation, and valuable resources to learn about mental health.
Attendees had the opportunity to participate in various activities such as decorating sleep masks and water bottles, listening to music, reading books, and more. Additionally, there were resources available to help parents start conversations with their children about mental health.
Jenny Metzmaker, the Director of Positive Somebody, shared that families were excited to learn about positive coping strategies and techniques to help with processing emotions. Organizations like Child and Family Charities and Therapy Partners were present to discuss different aspects of positive coping and provide valuable information on mental health.
