RAMAC celebrates outstanding accomplishments of member organizations at annual Business Awards

Each year, the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce (RAMAC) organization recognizes outstanding achievements and excellence among its member organizations and individuals. These awards honor those who have contributed to business improvement, growth, innovation, and community support in the Racine area. As the leading chamber of commerce in Racine, it is crucial to acknowledge those who are driving the local economy forward through the provision of goods and services, job creation, and capital investments in the community.

The annual RAMAC Business Awards dinner and celebration took place on April 25 at Roma Lodge under the theme of “Building Our Future Together.” This theme embodies the idea of solving problems and collaborating to make a significant impact on the Racine business community. Businesses in Racine came together to celebrate their shared purpose, vision, and partnerships. This year, RAMAC partnered with the Racine Unified School District to introduce new awards from the Academies of Racine program.

The 2024 business award recipients included a diverse group of organizations and individuals. The Apollo Award for New and Innovative Business, presented by Racine County, went to Lakeview Health. The Judy Moungey Award for Youth Apprenticeship was given to Siena on the Lake. The nonprofit of the year award was received by Racine Habitat for Humanity, while the small business of the year award went to Lakeview Pharmacy. Knapp Manufacturing, Inc. and Air Logic (a division of Knapp Mfg. Inc.) were jointly named Manufacturer of the Year. Liz Powell of Racine Community Foundation was recognized as the Businessperson of the Year. Additionally, DeltaHawk Engines Inc. and Bear Country Inc. were named Academies of Racine Champions of the Year, with Educators Credit Union receiving the award for Academies of Racine Branded Partner of the Year.
