Dropping off in the second baseman ROS rankings are Connor Norby (56th), Jared Triolo (63rd), Vidal Bruján (64th), Adam Frazier (66th), Luis Urías (68th), Lenyn Sosa (69th), and Andy Ibáñez (70th). It continues to be surprising that the Marlins are using Otto Lopez and Tim Anderson while Xavier Edwards is batting .330 in Triple-A. Edwards could be one of the Marlins’ top five hitters at this point, but it’s uncertain if he will get a chance in the big leagues.
While it’s unlikely to happen, seeing Miguel Vargas get regular at-bats for the Dodgers would be interesting. He has posted a .324/.385/.529 in his 39 plate appearances and has the potential to become a quality major league starter. Whether it’s at third base or in left field, Vargas could contribute significantly given the opportunity.
