The Coca-Cola brand is recalling a batch of its cherry-flavored drink “Cherry” due to a problem with the composition of the resin can. The interior lining of the can is made from Bisphenol A, a component that has been prohibited in France since 2012 for packaging products that come into contact with food. The cans were imported by the distributor B&M and bear the barcode 5449000195364, belonging to lot No. 08/02/2025 L09B. These 33 cl cans were sold throughout France, with no specified dates for marketing or withdrawal from sale.
Consumers who purchased the affected batch are advised not to consume the drink and to return the product to the point of sale for a refund. The recall process can be completed until August 27 through Rappel Conso. In a similar incident in November, the Croatian General Inspectorate ordered a recall of Coca-Cola products in Croatia due to cases of poisoning reported in several cities. This action was taken to protect public health and temporarily banned the distribution of the products in question.
