Register today for Fort Hays State University’s science and math children’s summer camps.

Fort Hays State University’s Science and Mathematics Education Institute (SMEI) is offering a range of summer camps for students in grades four through eight. These camps are popular and filling up quickly, with a maximum of two camps allowed per student.

The camps run for four days a week, from Monday to Thursday. Each session lasts for three hours, with morning camps from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon camps from 1 to 4 p.m. Camps cover a variety of STEM topics and hands-on activities.

Some of the camps offered this year include Main Street Math Camp for grades four through six, A Sense of Place: Designing for Folklore and Fairytale Camp for grades five through eight, Camp North Star for grades five through seven, and specialized robotics camps for different grade levels.

The registration fee for each camp is $70, and the deadline to register is Friday, May 3. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of two camps per student.
