Heart has decided to postpone the remainder of its North American tour dates due to Ann Wilson’s health issues. Wilson recently underwent surgery to remove something that turned out to be cancerous. She is now advised to undergo preventive chemotherapy. As a result, the band has made the decision to take the rest of the year off from performing to allow Wilson to fully recover. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets for the postponed dates.
Having started in 1974 by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, Heart’s Royal Flush tour is their first return to the road in five years. The tour kicked off in April with Cheap Trick as support. The band, recognized as the first female-fronted hard rock band, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
Wilson assures fans that this break is just a pause and that she plans to be back on stage in 2025. The band is working on rescheduling the postponed dates and will update fans as soon as possible. In May, Heart also canceled their European tour dates. Despite these setbacks, Wilson remains optimistic and looks forward to singing for the fans in the future.
