Report: Antonio Pierce has been hit with civil judgments totaling $28 million

The recent bankruptcy filing by Jocelyn Pierce, wife of Raiders coach Antonio Pierce, has revealed that he is financially responsible for $28 million in civil judgments. According to documents obtained by TheAthletic.com, creditors have been trying to collect assets belonging to the couple, including a $23 million judgment from Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation and a $4.5 million judgment from Hyundai Capital America. Both creditors recently attempted to garnish Antonio Pierce’s wages with the Raiders, leading to the bankruptcy filing.

The judgments seem to stem from investments made in car dealerships in the 2010s, with personal guarantees made by Antonio Pierce. When the businesses defaulted on their loans, lenders obtained judgments against those who had guaranteed the debts, including Antonio Pierce. Jocelyn Pierce has until July 12 to provide accurate information about the couple’s assets while caring for their home and children.

It is unclear why Jocelyn Pierce filed for bankruptcy if Antonio Pierce is the one who owes the money.
