Aetna Better Health of Illinois recently hosted a summer bash & resource fair at the Booker Washington Center in Rockford, Illinois. Fifteen organizations participated in the event, including Lifescape, University of Illinois Chicago, and the Rockford Mass Transit District. Each organization provided valuable information to residents in attendance, with the goal of making the community more aware of the resources available to them.
Event officials highlighted the importance of community members being able to see the variety of services offered and to kick off the summer season in Rockford. Families were able to access resources for their children and potentially discover new programs or opportunities to participate in. Aetna Better Health Illinois Outreach Coordinator Toni Thomas emphasized the significance of providing resources to families in need and helping them find ways to support their children.
The event was a success in bringing together various organizations and highlighting the available resources in the community. By fostering connections and providing information to residents, the summer bash & resource fair aimed to make a positive impact on the Rockford community.
