Bliss Caribbean Restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri has recently implemented a new age restriction policy to create a sophisticated and grown-up atmosphere in its dining space. The restaurant, open since May, requires women to be at least 30 years old and men to be at least 35 years old in order to dine there. The owners believe that this policy helps in maintaining a classy environment and upholding the standards they have set for their unique dining ambiance.

The introduction of this age policy at Bliss Caribbean Restaurant sparked discussions and conversations on social media platforms. Erica Rhodes, the assistant manager, mentioned that the restaurant aims to provide a relaxed and mature experience for its customers, away from any unnecessary drama often associated with younger crowds. Despite facing some criticism for this policy, Marvin Pate, the owner of the restaurant, stands by their decision and believes that the majority of the response has been positive.

In a statement made to local news outlet KSDK, Pate expressed his commitment to maintaining a “grown and sexy” atmosphere in the restaurant. Although there has been some pushback, the restaurant stands firm in its decision to uphold its policy. The owners are grateful for the support they have received and continue to maintain their focus on offering a sophisticated and safe dining experience for their clientele. Requests for comments from representatives of Bliss Caribbean Restaurant were not answered by Business Insider.
