rEvolution Sports Marketing Group recently announced the launch of their soccer-specific division, rEv United, in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Chicago-based firm has extensive experience in the soccer industry, having worked with MLS, FIFA, and Concacaf. They also recently became Ligue 1’s agency of record in the U.S.
One of the leaders of rEv United will be rEvolution SVP Bruce Bundrant, who has gained experience from working at Relevent Sports Group, AS Monaco, Liverpool, and DC United. According to Bundrant, the agency plans to make several new hires focused on soccer as part of the formation of the new division.
The agency sees the opportunity to expand its business by serving both soccer properties and brands. Bundrant noted that the soccer landscape is cluttered and complex, and rEvolution can help brands navigate through it.
With the 2026 World Cup approaching in less than three years, marketing agencies are working to position themselves to win the business of brands looking to capitalize on the event. According to Bundrant, international agencies are establishing their presence in the U.S. and U.S. agencies like rEvolution are creating soccer-specific divisions as they prepare for the impact of the World Cup.
This year, other notable movements in the soccer marketing space have included GMR Marketing launching its own dedicated division for soccer called GMR FC and For Soccer Ventures acquiring Gilt Edge Soccer Marketing.
