Lightweight world champion Rhiannon Dixon is set to defend her WBO belt against fellow Briton Terri Harper at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena on Saturday, 24 August. Dixon, who hails from Warrington, is currently unbeaten in 10 professional fights and will be making her first defense of the title she won against Karen Elizabeth Carabajal in April.
Meanwhile, Harper, who is 27 years old, holds the WBA light-middleweight championship and has previously been a super-featherweight champion. Harper is aiming to become a three-weight champion in the upcoming fight against Dixon.
Harper spoke highly of Dixon, expressing respect for her and praising her lack of ego. The two fighters will undoubtedly provide an exciting matchup for fans in August as they battle it out for the WBO title.
