Gwinnett County in Georgia will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 18 to commemorate the completion of the Gwinnett County Public Library Elizabeth H. Williams Branch and Snellville City Business Center. This new facility, spanning 44,000 square feet, is part of the development known as The Grove at Town Center in Snellville. The first floor of the building will serve as a library, while the second floor will be utilized as a business center by the city of Snellville.

The newly constructed library will feature dedicated spaces for adults, youth, and children, along with 30 computer workstations and a multipurpose room. The collaboration between the City of Snellville and Gwinnett County has made it possible to establish this library and business center. The county’s portion of the funding for the project comes from the 2017 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) program.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be hosted by Charles Pace, the Executive Director of the Gwinnett County Public Library. Attendees will include Nicole Love Hendrickson, the Gwinnett County Commission Chair, Jasper Watkins III, the District 3 Chair, Barbara Bender, the Mayor of Snellville, and Jonathan “JT” Wu, the Gwinnett County Public Library Board Chair. Parking for the event can be found at 2250 Oak Road in Snellville.
