Riverview Health Employee of the Month Awarded to Shannon Proulx

Teamwork is essential for the success of any organization, whether it be a company, a society, or a civilization. Vince Lombardi’s famous quote emphasizes the importance of individual commitment to a group effort. Shannon Proulx, an LPN in RiverView Health’s Internal Medicine Department, embodies this principle through her dedication to teamwork. Alongside Dr. Bosun Fashoro, Shannon plays a crucial role in running one of RiverView’s busiest practices with ease, earning her the Employee of the Month award for May.

Shannon’s journey at RiverView began during her high school years when she worked in the dietary department while also holding a position at the Villa. After becoming an LPN, she spent five years at Glenmore Recovery (now RiverView Recovery Center) before transitioning to her current role at RiverView’s Crookston Clinic. Despite her clinic responsibilities, Shannon continued working weekends at Glenmore for a few more years. Her commitment to her work is evident in her dedication to both roles.

As a native of Crookston, Shannon shares her life with her significant other, Nate Magsam, and their blended family, which includes Katelyn, Kamryn, Ethan, his wife Nissa, and their son Cullen, and Kailee, along with their dog, Nelly. In her free time, Shannon enjoys activities such as ice fishing, running, and spending time at their cabin on Island Lake, where she fulfills her dream of living on a lake full-time.

Upon receiving the Employee of the Month award, Shannon expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with some of the best nurses and doctors at RiverView. She credits Dr. Fashoro as an exceptional teacher who has helped her grow and learn throughout the years. Shannon’s award is a testament to her commitment to teamwork and her dedication to providing exceptional care to her patients.
