Robot dog equipped with flamethrower available for purchase by the general public in the US

A quadruped robot named Thermonator, equipped with a flamethrower, is now available for purchase in the United States. This robotic device, powered by gasoline or napalm, features a one-hour battery life, cartographic mapping sensors, instant ARC ignition, laser aiming, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote control via a smartphone. Residents in most states, except for Maryland and California, can legally buy this flamethrowing robot dog for less than $10,000.

The robot was named after a fictional film character that played a role in a robotic revolution that nearly wiped out humanity. A recent video showcasing the capabilities of this mechanical quadruped was set to the song “Destroyer of Worlds Oppenheimer Remix,” adding an ironic twist to the product. Manufactured by Throwflame, the Thermonator is the first flame-throwing robot dog in the world and is now available for purchase, as promised by the company last summer.

Throwflame, based in Ohio and claiming to be the oldest flamethrower manufacturer in the US, designed Thermonator with features suitable for agricultural management, ecological conservation, forest fire control, snow and ice removal, among other uses. The robot dog can launch fire up to nine meters with its plasma arc ignition. Despite its initial applications, the company assures that Thermonator is equipped for various tasks and challenges.

In addition to its functional capabilities, Thermonator’s introduction has generated interest and discussion in various online platforms, with some speculating on its potential uses and implications. Its unique design and features have captured the attention of technology enthusiasts and individuals interested in innovative and unconventional products. As the availability of such devices becomes more widespread, it opens up new possibilities for robotic applications in different industries and fields.
