Roma in talks with Chiesa’s agent, advancing ahead of Napoli

The agent of Federico Chiesa had a meeting with Roma directors today to discuss a potential move for the Italy international. While talks with Juventus are still in the early stages, Napoli is also interested in the player. With Chiesa not fitting into new coach Thiago Motta’s plans at Juventus, the club is looking to sell him this summer before his contract expires in 2025.

Initially, it was thought that Napoli were leading the race for Chiesa, especially with the appointment of Antonio Conte as their new coach. However, Roma has now emerged as a potential destination for the winger after today’s meeting between his agent and the club’s directors.

There is a belief that Chiesa could thrive at Roma under the guidance of coach Daniele De Rossi, who sees potential in the player despite his struggles under Max Allegri at Juventus. In addition to Roma and Juventus, other clubs such as Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Milan could also make a move for Chiesa in the upcoming transfer window.
