The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into an incident where a man reportedly stole an ATM from a business in Boyce. The man is said to have approached a business in the 5500 block of Old Boyce Road on February 12th around 4:55 a.m. He allegedly backed up a black Ford Fusion into the business and rammed the front doors, breaking them off the hinges to gain access to the building.
Once inside, the man purportedly took the ATM machine, placed it in the vehicle, and left the business about six minutes later. The black Ford Fusion is expected to have heavy damage to the rear and is missing side mirrors. It has also lost its rear bumper and several undercarriage items.
The suspect is wanted for simple burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward and report any relevant tips. This incident is currently under investigation by the RPSO. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to report any tips to the RPSO.
