He briefly listed the apartment for $72 million in 2015 and then re-listed it in 2022 for $62 million after marrying his fifth wife, Elena Zhukova.
After multiple price reductions, the apartment is now available for $28.5 million. Due to its high price tag, the property has proven difficult to sell, despite its luxurious features and prime location in New York City.
It’s worth noting that Murdoch’s estimated net worth is $19.7 billion, so the apartment sale may not significantly impact his financial situation. Nevertheless, the media mogul continues to search for a buyer for his upscale New York City penthouse.
