Russell Westbrook has decided to stay in Los Angeles with the Clippers. He recently exercised the $4 million player option in his contract, ensuring he will remain with the team. Westbrook signed a two-year, eight million dollar deal with the Clippers back in July 2023. Last season, he put up solid numbers with averages of 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in his 68 appearances for the team. Interestingly, he came off the bench in 57 of those games.

Despite Westbrook’s contributions, the Clippers finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 51-31. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks. As the situation unfolds, updates on Westbrook and the Clippers will surely continue to come to light.
