Russian Electronic Warfare Proves Effective: Ukraine in Chaos

Ukraine is requesting more ammunition that can withstand Russia’s electronic jamming systems which have been able to neutralize munitions guided by satellites supplied by the United States. As a result, Ukrainian forces have stopped using certain systems provided by the West. Russian jamming has destroyed systems such as Excalibur artillery shells and Himars launchers, leading to a decrease in success rates.

An assessment by the Ukrainian military command revealed that Excalibur technology has lost its potential, with the success rate dropping to less than ten percent of targets hit. The United States has stopped sending these systems to Kiev for the past six months. JDAM aircraft-dropped bombs faced similar issues, but manufacturers were able to fix the problem and Ukraine resumed using them.

Himars launchers also experienced decreased success rates due to Russian electronic systems disabling satellite signals. This has rendered the system ineffective, leading to it being used for low-priority targets. Western manufacturers are working to address these issues and ensure that Ukraine has the capabilities needed for effectiveness in warfare.

The lack of advanced air forces and robust electronic countermeasures in Ukraine presents a challenge in the war. However, the pressure from Russian capabilities has forced the United States and its NATO allies to continue innovating. Systems like the GBU-39 bomb have shown resilience to electronic jamming, with 90 percent of the bombs reaching their target due to their small size.

Additionally, news from various sectors such as tourism, sports, health warnings, cultural alliances, infrastructure innovations, political statements, and scientific developments were reported around the world. Three presidents used the phrase “The worst is over” amidst the crisis, highlighting ongoing global events and discussions.
