Two people were killed and six were wounded overnight Tuesday in Russian attacks on the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Kharkiv, and Ukrainian air defenses shot down nine out of ten Russian drones, Ukrainian officials said.
Missiles hit a hospital in the Donetsk town of Selidove and a coal mine, Minister of the Interior Ihor Klimenko announced on Telegram. “Two hospital buildings were damaged, six civilians were wounded. It is possible that there are more victims under the ruins, the clearing continues,” said Klimenko. One worker died in the coal mine, he said. “Four buildings, 19 vehicles and a power line were damaged. 39 miners were trapped. Now they have all been pulled out,” he said. Russian occupation forces have captured most of Donetsk, and Moscow wants to capture the entire region.
In Kharkiv, one person was killed in the Russian bombing, said the governor of the region, Oleh Sinehubov. Reuters could not verify the reports. Russia attacked the territory of Ukraine at night with Shahid-type kamikaze drones of Iranian production.
