The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, announced his readiness to take over the leadership of the “National United Movement” party remotely from Tbilisi’s “Vivamed” medical center as of May 2022.
From his hospital room, Saakashvili declared his readiness to coordinate the activities of the party’s political council, its leadership, and take responsibility for the return of previously expelled members of the party to its ranks. He also announced that the “National United Movement” will be open to other people and associations.
