Samsung’s new Odyssey OLED gaming series monitors have been announced for global launch, featuring technology that prevents overheating and reduces core temperature. Along with these, Samsung has also introduced the Smart Monitor range and the View Finity professional monitors, aiming to provide users with new experiences, regardless of how they use the devices.
The Odyssey OLED 2024 models come in two versions: the Odyssey OLED G8 (G8SD) with a 32-inch screen, and the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) with a 27-inch panel. The G8 is a gaming monitor with 4K UHD resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and 0.03 ms GtG response time for smooth gameplay and responsiveness, powered by an AI NQ8 processor. The G6 has a QHD resolution, a 360 Hz refresh rate, and the same response time.
Both monitors come equipped with Samsung OLED Safeguard+ technology, which prevents overheating with a dynamic cooling system that evaporates and condenses liquid coolant to effectively distribute heat and reduce core temperature. The monitors also boast a peak brightness of 250 nits and OLED Glare Freewhich technology to reduce reflections and maintain image sharpness in their thin, metallic design.
