A new involuntary Behavioral Health Services facility has opened in Salem County, offering critical care for individuals in need of support for healing and recovery. This facility, located in Mannington, provides patients with involuntary beds closer to home, eliminating the need to seek services in neighboring Cumberland County. This development aims to improve access to behavioral health care for the community in Salem County.
Amy Mansue, CEO and president of Inspira Health, expressed the organization’s commitment to enhancing behavioral health care delivery. The addition of involuntary beds in Salem County reflects a significant step forward in providing patients with the necessary care and support within their own community. This investment underscores the dedication to improving patient outcomes and ensuring safety for both patients and employees.
To support the new involuntary services, a specially trained staff has been hired at Inspira Medical Center Mannington. This team includes a nurse practitioner, registered nurses, social workers, and art therapists who will provide 24/7 services to individuals aged 18 and older dealing with significant psychiatric challenges and potential substance use disorders. The multidisciplinary approach of the staff incorporates evidence-based care and community-identified programming to promote health restoration and prevent long-term relapse.
Deena Tampi, vice president of behavioral health at Inspira Health, emphasized the mission of providing a supportive environment for healing and recovery. The team at the Mannington facility is equipped to develop individualized treatment plans, including art therapy, to address the complexities of each patient’s conditions with compassion and respect. By offering comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs and strengths, the facility aims to facilitate the healing and recovery process effectively.
