The local Sam’s Club in Meridian is at the forefront of technology with the implementation of a new AI camera system. According to Sam’s Club Manager Josh Walters, one of the main complaints from members is the long lines at checkout. To address this issue, the club unveiled the new technology in January during the Walmart keynote conference in Las Vegas.
This new system uses Artificial Intelligence and a camera system to scan customers’ receipts as they exit the store, streamlining the overall experience for members. Walters explains that the technology can identify items in a cart by scanning their packaging, saving time for both associates and members.
Being one of the first in the state to utilize this technology, the Meridian Sam’s Club showcases the club’s commitment to providing a great experience for its members. With the high volume of customers during peak times, the new system will help improve efficiency and customer satisfaction at the club.
Sam’s Club plans to eventually implement this technology in clubs nationwide, showcasing their dedication to innovation and customer experience. The introduction of this new AI camera system demonstrates the club’s commitment to providing a seamless and convenient shopping experience for its members.
