Samsung integrates AI technology into its air conditioning units for improved efficiency and comfort.

Samsung Electronics has introduced AI Auto Comfort technology to its air conditioning devices to automatically maintain the best conditions of comfort and energy savings. As heat waves continue to rise, the demand for air conditioning has increased, leading to a 40% growth in the residential air conditioning market in 2023 compared to the previous year.

A study conducted by Samsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe (SEACE) found that only 55% of Spaniards have air conditioning in their rooms, while 73% have it in larger rooms of the house. The study also revealed that factors such as noise and cold can impact the quality of rest, with 84% of respondents considering sound comfort as an important factor when purchasing an air conditioner.

The study highlighted longevity, energy efficiency, and sustainability as the main factors to consider when choosing an air conditioning unit. Additionally, 77% of respondents find the use of smart technology to optimize energy and water consumption appealing. Samsung offers the ‘SmartThings’ app, allowing users to monitor power consumption and adjust settings to manage both temperature and power consumption in a single app.

Consumers prioritize energy rating and efficiency when purchasing air conditioning units, with 81% considering it a significant factor in their decision-making process. Samsung WindFree air conditioners have an energy rating of A++ or higher, offering up to 50% more energy efficiency compared to A+ rated units.

Alejandra Tortosa, head of air conditioning pre-sales at Samsung Electronics Iberia, predicts continued growth in the residential air conditioning market in 2024 due to increasing heat waves. The AI technology in Samsung air conditioners measures indoor and outdoor temperatures to optimize energy consumption and create a calm air atmosphere with minimal noise.

AI Auto Comfort technology in Samsung air conditioners allows for intelligent control and maintenance of comfortable conditions without user intervention. It optimizes usage patterns based on environmental conditions to improve efficiency and ensure maximum comfort. The WindFree mode automatically adjusts air flow to maintain optimal conditions and reduce energy consumption when temperatures are cooler.
