Saranac Loses to Bombers in Golf Match | Latest Updates on News, Sports, and Job Opportunities

The Lake Placid golf team recently won back-to-back matches against the Saranac Central Chiefs and Peruvian Nighthawks. The first match was against Saranac Central on Thursday at Plattsburgh’s Barrack Golf Course, which resulted in a 4-2 win for Lake Placid. Brady Tremblay had an impressive score of 34, including a 2-under albatross on the par-5 eighth hole, making him the medalist. Lake Placid’s Chris Byrne and Carver Bell were also victorious in their matches. Unfortunately, Seb Sekunjanin and Liam Gotham suffered setbacks.

The second match took place on Lake Placid’s home Craigwood golf course on Friday, where they faced the Nighthawks. The match ended in a tiebreak, with Lake Placid winning 3-3 and defeating Peru 155-170 with the lowest combined score of the top four players. Tremblay once again impressed, finishing with an even par 35 and securing the medalist position. Byrne and Bell also won their matches, but Liam Clarke of Peru scored the lowest round of 39 in the second match, resulting in Lake Placid’s loss in two positions.

With these two wins, the Blue Bombers improved their overall record to 5-1. They are set to face Clinton in the Northeast today away at 3:30 pm.
