Schedule Released for First-Ever 12-Team College Football Playoff

The College Football Playoff is expanding to 12 teams, with automatic bids for power conference champions and opening-round on-campus postseason matchups. The schedule for the postseason has been announced by ESPN and the CFP. The playoffs will begin on Friday, December 20 with an opening-round game, followed by three more on-campus games the next day on Saturday.

Quarterfinal games will take place on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at the Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Sugar Bowl. The semifinals will be at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl, with the national title game on January 20, 2025 in Atlanta.
